Chinese Emerging GPU Chip Company Horizon completes nearly 3 billion yuan in strategic financing, with participation from IDG Capital, Gaorong Capital, and others
BlockBeats News, January 22nd. Sunrise, a Chinese emerging GPU chip company, announced the completion of nearly 3 billion yuan in strategic financing. Investors include Huaxi Fund under Sany Group, Partron Fund, Hangzhou Data Group, Zoomlion Robotics, Jinlong Machinery, as well as IDG Capital, Gaorong Capital, Genesis Capital, CICC Capital, PwC Capital, Pinecone Capital, E Fund Capital, ICBC Investment, and other VC/PE institutions. Additionally, it has received support from Chengtong Mixed Ownership Fund, Hangzhou Jintou, Hangzhou High-Tech Jintou, and other Chinese state-owned capital backgrounds. The funds will be used for the research and development of next-generation Inference GPUs, large-scale production, and ecosystem development.
It is reported that Sunrise was established at the end of 2024, spun off independently from the heavyweight chip division of SenseTime. Its slogan is "A Chinese GPU chip company that knows AI better," emphasizing "top-notch products that are affordable and accessible."
