Base Crash Report: Mempool Sorter Misconfigured to Handle Transactions, Total Downtime 33 Minutes
BlockBeats News, August 6th: Base has released a downtime incident report stating that it experienced a 33-minute block generation interruption on August 5th. The cause was a switch to a backup sorter that was not correctly configured to process transactions.
At that time, the active sorter began to lag in block generation, prompting Base to perform a sorter switch using Conductor, the system used to manage sorter availability and reliability. The network has now fully recovered, with a total downtime of 33 minutes.
