After a certain whale day trader sold ETH spot and made a profit of $7.42 million, they incurred a unrealized loss of $9.44 million from shorting ETH.
BlockBeats News, July 18th, according to on-chain data analyst Yujin Monitoring, a [Whale Trader with 81% Win Rate in ETH/BTC Swing Trading] transferred 5 million U to an address that opened a short position in ETH to top up collateral 5 hours ago.
The data shows that this trader started shorting ETH at $2,969 on July 12th, and then closed the ETH spot position at $3,051 on July 14th. By selling the ETH spot, they made a profit of $7.42 million, but currently, their short ETH position is at a unrealized loss of $9.44 million.
